Date: August 8th 2011

Greetings and Salutations to all!

Attached is the Newsletter for August. I cannot believe it is August already. It is my sincere hope that your summer has gone well and that God has been glorified in your life.

The last month has been quite a joy to me. The 6th Annual Preachersfiles Lectureship was held in Courtland, Alabama and it was fantastic. This is a lectureship I have the privilege of taking part in each year. It is my belief that the lessons this year were the best I have heard yet. They were simply fantastic. My particular lesson was entitled, "How Much Should I Date?". I highly encourage folks to check it out and pass it on to young folks engaged in or contemplating the dating process. It will be a great help to them as they evaluate their options. The lesson can be found at: http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=c1l8sbrwtx and will be added to That Christian website later this month. No, it may not be the prettiest video you ever saw, nor is the audio perfect, but I promise you the content is worth the time to listen.

In addition to the lectureship, the opportunity also arose for me to write an article for the Carolina Messenger which will be coming out in a few weeks. The topic is on the 70 AD doctrine and is a joint effort between myself and 3 other writers. My portion of the writing focuses on key scriptures used by Preterists and examines how the scriptures are twisted. I was very honored to take part in the publication and hope the effort proves fruitful to all who have the opportunity to read it. If you do not already receive a copy of their publication, past issues are available online at http://carolinamessenger.com/pastissues.html.

With the arrival of next month, I am going to begin to seek out support for the preaching and teaching efforts I am engaged in. My aim is to receive support for a year. Since our move from Wyoming, I have been able to fill in with various congregations as well as hold gospel meetings, but the income has been minimal and there have been no full time positions available. If anyone has suggestions in regard to seeking out support, I would appreciate the feedback.

Thank you to everyone who has been visiting That Christian Website throughout the summer. It makes me very pleased to know that the work I engage in and the material put forth is being used and aiding souls around the world. Please do continue to visit and link to the site as more and more material will continue to be added in the months and years ahead.

God Bless,

Travis Main
